This was my first time having authentic Greek food and I was introduced to many new and delicious flavors! I've heard of gyros before but never had one until now and I feel like I've been missing out! My partner said this place was amazing and he was right! I especially enjoyed their eggplant dip and I loved how light and refreshing it tasted. I kept reaching for more of it. For me, the stuffed grape leaves were not as impressive but I think it's mainly because it was such a new and unfamiliar flavor to me. It had a mintiness that I wasn't expecting but the leaves themselves were quite lovely. I wanted to try their Saganaki cheese balls but since they didn't have any that day, I opted for the regular one. This one was a show! They do the flambé right in front of you and it's nice and hot. Can't go wrong with cheese honestly. Now comes the gyro - this place does not skimp on portions. For about $9 maybe, we had this huge thing of lamb gyro that doesn't even fit in your mouth. Not to mention it was delicious. The flavors were all nicely balanced and I had to pack it to go since there was so much. Finally came the dessert which I believe I got the bougasta. I liked the flakiness of the crust and its layers. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciated and the perfect way to end my meal. I look forward to coming back and trying more Greek food!
Went with my parents and wife after a day of sightseeing in Westchester and it was a great meal. Liked the ambiance inside and the service was really friendly and efficient. As to the food -- the Greek salad with gyro meat was plentiful and very tasty. It's a huge portion. The skordalia was very garlicky which I loved but the rest of the table found overwhelming. The spinach pie was flaky and delicious (and even the small one was pretty big -- a large one could make a meal). The gyros were big and tasty and held together for the most part. Really nice experience and I would definitely try it again if I was in Tarrytown
Is it the best restaurant in Tarrytown? Yes. Yes it is. Is it fancy? No, but the people here are like family and the food comes in healthy portion sizes and is delightful across the menu board. Gets a little crowded and that's a good thing. It's lively, a bit loud, and always delicious!
I definitely recommend coming here. It's been a while since we've been here and love the expansion and decor. The service was great and our server was accommodating. The food was delicious. We ordered the salmon, lamb on a stick, falafel, gyro and beets. Everything was well seasoned and cooked well. Check this place out.
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. The general area has a small town feel but they were turning tables left and right. Well obviously because the food is pretty good. From the appetizers to the main entrees, everything we had was great. Keep these folks busy and give them a try.
I love this place! It is the best Greek food I have had! The chicken gyro was so unique and delicious. Everything we tried was great. We stayed in Tarrytown for 4 days and went twice. The food came out quickly and the service was very friendly.
This place has huge portions! We shared a large Greek salad and couldn't even finish it when the other orders came. We were having brunch in tarry town before going up to Gardiner for another epic meal and had to take a nap in between at the park. We shared the salad and I got their chicken lemon soup. Partner got the spinach pie also delicious. We left with leftovers because we were full and didn't want to overeat before the main event but we still needed to take a nap. Highly recommend if you're looking for a Greek place that's open in the morning.
Best Greek food I've had and VERY affordable! Found this place on Yelp when looking for a great Greek spot near Irvington and Lefteris looked good. Let me say this was the best avgolemono soup I've had, and the best Greek salad I've had as well. The lamb was also fantastic, not gamely at all. Only word of caution is that the portions are big! Bring your appetite. I'll definitely be back.
